Project Goals
The project aims to promote the internationalization of the University of Applied Sciences Berlin (HTW Berlin) and establish a sustainable collaboration with partner universities and companies in Ethiopia. The implementation is carried out through five operational objectives, which focus on strengthening the international competencies of students, promoting research collaboration, building and expanding a network of German and Ethiopian companies, and achieving a structural and sustainable integration of new internationalization measures.
The current funding period started in January 2023 and runs until December 2024.
Project Partners
The project involves several project partners, including the University of Applied Sciences Berlin (HTW Berlin) as the main actor. Additionally, the Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) in Ethiopia is involved as a key partner. Furthermore, the project aims to establish partnerships with the Addis Ababa University (ADIS) and the Bahir Dar University (BDU) in Ethiopia. Together, they work towards the sustainable internationalization of HTW Berlin and close cooperation with Ethiopian universities and companies. The project is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
