On Thursday, the University of Applied Sciences (HTW Berlin) at the Wilhelminenhof Campus opened its doors to interested parties and offered an insight into its diverse study opportunities and projects. An information stand about the East Africa Hub was not to be missed. In bright sunshine, many inquisitive people were able to exchange ideas with the initiators and participants of the cooperation project on the “beach” facing the Spree.
The East Africa Hub aims to promote the internationalisation of HTW Berlin and to establish sustainable cooperation with partner universities and companies in Ethiopia. Prof. Dr. Oliver Scholz and Prof. Dr. Katarina Adam, as initiators and main responsible for the project, explained this on site.
There was original Ethiopian coffee brewed for everyone at the information stand by participating students. This allowed for a relaxed exchange with a cup of authentic coffee in hand. For several hours, numerous interested people were attracted by the appealing stand and chatted animatedly about the exciting project.
Some HTW students who were not yet familiar with the East Africa Hub were able to ask the teaching staff and peers directly about the application process and the procedure in detail. It was also communicated to everyone that the Summer School will take place in Berlin from 25 June and that some Ethiopian students will be able to get to know the HTW and Berlin for a week.
For all those who could not be there but are enthusiastic about the project, there is of course the possibility to contact us directly. We will gladly inform you about the various possibilities to get involved in the East Africa Hub.
